Dear Pre-Covid me,
You are not the person I thought you were becoming. You are not the person I ever wanted you to be. Your trials have made you bitter and it is time to change. These months have been a great time for you, to reintroduce a better you.
It’s ok to understand this, and to take it all in. Its hard to realise that you aren’t the person who you thought you were, and that you need to change. Life is too short to be any less than who you want to be. Don’t beat yourself up, but challenge yourself to be better.
Try not to let your mind travel back to all of those mistakes you’ve made before, learn from them, grow from them, and make sure that you move on from them too. Diving into a deep sorrow of past mistakes will lead you into a depression that will be very real, and hard to come out of. Accept, learn and move on.
Make each day count, create like you have never created before, change your lifestyle, lose weight, do whatever you want to do to make yourself a better, happier, healthier person.
Don’t fret about the small things in life that are out of your control.
Stop worrying so much, stop beating yourself up over the small things, stop doubting your abilities. Keep going, keep on at your self-care, make sure you think of yourself before others, and keep on loving life. Keep on loving yourself.
The creativity that you have found within yourself, don’t give up on it. Don’t allow the noise of the world distract from where you want to go. Allow your mind to imagine worlds and life, beyond the ones you are currently living in.
“Sometimes, we need to be brave enough to outgrow the life we’ve built.”
There are also many times when life will appear in front your eyes and slap you right in the face. But.. on occasion.. it is exactly what we need.. and sometimes, we may not even know we needed it. It’s totally normal to have a little freak out about it, but don’t let it sit inside your mind for too long.
Just keep going, keep trying, keep failing and then get right back up.
You can do this. (this is aimed at you!…who is reading this right now!)
