Style is Timeless, Not Trendy.

Don’t be into trends. Don’t make Fashion own you, but you decide what you wear.

A couple days back, I was watching an interview with the legendary Stella McCartney. She is a gorgeous designer, and creates gorgeous pieces that are hand-crafted to allow females to be empowered.

She is a total activist for Animal rights, and for Sustainability of the Fashion World. She spoke boldly of the issue that Fashion Trends have to the Industry and the fast paced turnaround.

I agree.

Fashion trends are the problem. Don’t get me wrong, there are Fashion Trends that come in, but that stay. A classic example of this, is “The Skinny Jean’.

The funny thing is, I have never really been one to follow ‘trends’ in the same way as everybody else. My Fashion, is my choice. It always has been. Im clear in the sense of “what I like, I like”, and “what I don’t like, I don’t like”. Its as simple as that for me.

I know that Trends are something that a lot of people rave about, talk about, and feel like they have to ‘fit in’ to look good when certain trends come about. Let me be the first to tell you, that you don’t have to be on it with the Trends to be ‘cool’, to be Fashionable.

The funny thing is with Fashion, Style should be, an expression of you are. Not someone else expressing themselves through you.

Don’t be afraid to express yourself through your Fashion Style. Remember, that Style is a long lasting Fashion ‘Trend’ in your wardrobe. You should want to have classic pieces with a twist. This allows for you to be creative, but still classic, with a bit of flare.

Most importantly? Be you. Be Kind to yourself & Be creative.

Ps. Im really into head scarfs… can you tell? I LOVE THEM. I have another gorgeous one, and I must admit.. these both came from Primark. They are both made from 100% cotton. (Although, the cotton industry needs drastic change as its using so much water.. but thats another story for a different time!)
