The Art of Saying ‘No’.

Is it just me, or does saying ‘No’ feel like an art? Something that only few of us really achieve? I know I have felt overwhelmed with the feeling of guilt, due to saying ‘no’.

I’m still not perfect at it, I’ve got a severe amount of work to do on it, and I’m sure I’m not the only one. Which, by the way, means that you are not the only one either.

“Successful people say no to almost anything” – Warren Buffet; Businessman

Saying no allows you to say yes to what is actually important to you. This will allow you to become a better person as you say yes, as there is no fear or resentment towards others.

Making your own decisions creates confidence within your soul, and lets you be the person you’ve always wanted to be.

Let’s not beat around the bush… saying no makes us uncomfortable. But if we learn to say no, we can reclaim the control that was once lost, and create our own life again.

“There was never any fear for me, no fear of failure. If I miss a shot, so what?” – Michael Jordan.

Here is a man, who has become a household name, who knew the right way to play the game. Not just physically.. Mentally.

The stress of saying no, most likely leads us to say yes, automatically. This is not healthy. It’s ok to say no. You have every right to say no. Those who don’t understand, may never understand, but that is ok. You don’t have to please everybody. It is time to accept that this is never going to be the case, and move on.

Let us try to be more kind to ourselves, by being honest about decisions we can say no to. Be brave, be courageous be content with who you are and what you say no to. Its ok to speak up, and mainly.. to speak up for yourself.

Choose to stand up for you.
